Understanding Mental Fitness: Topic of Free Sept. 11 Talk at Conejo YMCA

"The Brain Game: Understanding Mental Fitness" is the subject of a free seminar at the Conejo Valley YMCA on September 11.

“The Brain Game: Understanding Mental Fitness” is the subject of a free seminar at the Conejo Valley YMCA on September 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The program speaker is Beverly Sanborn, a nationally recognized gerontologist. The talk is co-sponsored by Belmont Village, an assisted living community in Thousand Oaks.

Sanborn will discuss the differences between normal memory loss and Alzheimer’s disease and give suggestions to attendees on how they can maintain mental fitness. Sanborn’s expertise is translating research findings into usable programs for elder care. She regularly gives lectures and workshops throughout the United States. A light lunch will be served.
