VC Supervisors, Sheriff Candidates Forum Scheduled At Cal Lutheran

Candidates for Ventura County District 2 and Ventura County Sheriff will speak May 12.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — The Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and the Acorn newspapers are collaborating to host a Candidates Forum on May 11 at California Lutheran University. The forums will be moderated by Kyle Jorrey, editor of the Thousand Oaks Acorn, and John Loesing, the Managing Editor of The Acorn.

Candidates for the Ventura County Sheriff and Ventura County Supervisor for District 2 will speak in two 45-minute sessions. From 6-6:45, Sheriff Bill Ayub and Thousand Oaks Police Chief Jim Fryhoff will discuss their candidacies for Ventura County Sheriff.

From 7-7:45, Claudia Bill-de la Peña, Jeff Gorell, and Tim McCarthy will discuss their candidacies to represent District 2 of Ventura County, which is currently represented by Linda Parks and covers Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Westlake Village, Oak Park, and more.

The forums will take place at the Lundring Events Center at Cal Lutheran, but will also be streamed live on the Greater Conejo Valley Chamber of Commerce and Acorn Newspaper social media platforms. Both are free, and registration is not required.
