WA Gov. To Meet Woolsey Fire Survivors During Campaign
Gov. Jay Inslee is scheduled to meet local mobile home residents as part of his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.

AGOURA HILLS, CA – Washington Gov. Jay Inslee is scheduled to meet with residents of a mobile home park in the Malibu Hills devastated in the Woolsey Fire Monday as part of his campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination.
Inslee is set to tour the Seminole Springs Mobile Home Park, where nearly 100 homes were destroyed in November, his campaign announced Thursday.
California is the fourth state in what the Inslee campaign has dubbed the "Climate Mission Tour." The tour began in Iowa Tuesday, four days after he announced his candidacy.

Inslee is scheduled to continue the tour in Las Vegas Saturday and Austin, Texas Sunday.
The tour is focusing on the need to create millions of clean energy jobs across the nation while defeating climate change, according to the campaign.

Inslee is set to meet workers in the clean energy economy, speak with students and climate activists, and hear from people around the nation about the impacts of climate change and the need to invest in clean energy jobs.
When he announced his candidacy last Friday at a solar installation company in Seattle, Inslee said he was running "because this is our moment, our moment to solve America's most daunting challenge and make it the first, foremost, and paramount duty of the United States -- defeating climate change."
"(Inslee's) campaign will only force Democrats into embracing more extreme policies, like a carbon tax, which would kill jobs, raise energy prices, and disproportionately hurt working-class Americans," Republican National Committee communications director Michael Ahrens said.
Inslee is among three active or potential candidates for the Democratic presidential nomination set to visit the Los Angeles area in a seven- day span. New York Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is set to conduct fundraisers in Beverly Hills Saturday and Sunday. South Bend, Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg is scheduled to speak in West Hollywood next Thursday.
Both Gillibrand and Buttigieg have announced the formation of exploratory committees but have not declared their candidacies.
