Wind Advisory Issued In Agoura Hills Until Friday

High temperatures and high winds of up to 35 miles an hour are hitting Agoura Hills.

AGOURA HILLS, CA — The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory in Agoura Hills, much of coastal LA County, and the San Fernando Valley, including Hollywood, Santa Monica, Malibu, Burbank, and Northridge. The advisory is in effect from Thursday at 3 a.m. until Friday at 2 p.m.

Agoura Hills and much of the Southland are experiencing high winds and unseasonably hot weather, according to the National Weather Service. Agoura Hills can expect a high of 88 on Thursday, with winds of up to 35 miles an hour. Temperatures will climb to 93 on Friday, and gusts of up to 30 miles an hour. Temperatures and winds will slowly decrease until Tuesday, when they will plateau around a high of 70 degrees each day.

Despite the high temperatures and winds, no fire warnings have been issued.

Winds are especially high in the mountains. The National Weather Service in Los Angeles reported that winds at Whitaker Peak near Castaic reached 63 miles an hour, with 54 mph at Mount Lowe in the San Gabriel Mountains.
