Yerba Buena Elementary Wins Recycling Competition
The statewide challenge aims to serve as a catalyst for K-12 schools and school districts to build and expand waste reduction programs.

AGOURA HILLS, CA – Yerba Buena Elementary School has won a first place and a second place award in the California K-12 Schools Recycling Challenge. The challenge is an annual statewide program to encourage recycling and promote healthy competitions between schools, according to their website. The challenge aims to serve as a catalyst for K-12 schools and school districts to build and expand waste reduction programs.
Yerba Buena Elementary in Agoura Hills won first place in the CRV Recycled Per Capita category with 1.79 pounds per capita, and second place in the CRV Recycled category with 752.55 pounds recycled.
