The Miller Y is also looking for members of its Manta Ray swim team. “Team members continue to build on their swimming ability,” says Kara Kaplan, the Miller Y’s aquatics director. “Being on the swim team gives participants a chance to perfect their strokes and learn how to be good team players.” The swim team meets Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. A competition team, which participates in meets, works out immediately afterwards, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
