The region is another story (fresnobee.com) β Alameda County residents, along with others across the Bay Area, feel their personal lives are mostly on track even as they grow pessimistic about the region's direction, especially around housing costs, homelessness, and inequality. A new Silicon Valley Poll shows many cutting back on basics, doubting tech's broad benefits, and considering leaving, yet still feeling a strong sense of belonging in their communities.
