• Senators Schiff, Padilla Deliver Nearly $2.5 Million for Bay Area Public Safety Projects (alamedapost.com) — Federal lawmakers have secured $900,000 specifically for Alameda to expand victim services, especially for domestic violence, elder abuse, and child abuse cases. The money will fund embedded victim advocates in the City Attorney's Office, aiming to improve support throughout court proceedings and raise awareness of available help for crime victims across Alameda.
• Stolen Car Chase Crosses Bay Bridge Into San Leandro, Four Arrested With Guns (newsbreak.com) — A stolen car pursuit that began in San Francisco crossed the Bay Bridge, sped through Oakland and Alameda, and ended in a crash in San Leandro, where four suspects were arrested and guns recovered. San Francisco police credit license plate readers and air support for tracking the vehicle, and say multiple firearm and evasion charges are being pursued.
