Aliso Niguel High Ranked Among Nation's Best
The Washington Post released its list of public high schools ranked nationally for having good college prep courses, while measuring the percentage of subsidized lunches each school serves.
Aliso Niguel High School is among the nationâs top schools, according to rankings released by the Washington Post today.
The newspaper released the standings today for schools that surpass 93 percent of other public high schools in children taking advanced placement and baccalaureate classes.
In its formula to determine the rankings, The Post divides the number of advanced placement, international baccalaureate or other college-level tests a school gave in 2010 by the number of graduating seniors.

Only 7 percent of the approximately 27,000 U.S. public high schools qualified for the list, and the number only goes up to 1,905. Aliso Niguel High School falls close to the middle of that list.
The newspaper cited several distinguishing characteristics about, including its 99 percent graduation rate and average SAT score of 1,665.
