Aliso Niguel Shows Who's No. 1 Wins Regional Title
The Wolverines, ranked No. 2 in the nation, beat the No. 1 team with a 3-2 come-from-behind victory to win the Southern California Regional Championship for Division I.

Aliso Niguel may have saved its most dramatic victory—given the circumstances—for the biggest game in the program's history.
Ranked No. 2 in the nation and facing the team ranked No. 1, Los Osos from Rancho Cucamonga, the Wolverines provided a stunning come-from-behind victory Saturday at Justice Stadium at Warren High in Downing.
Aliso Niguel scored three times in the second half to win, 3-2, and win the Southern California Regional Championship, the equivalent of a state title in California.

About six minutes later, freshman Lauren Miller skirted the ball past freshman goalkeeper Anne Bailey for the decisive goal.
From that point, the title fell on Aliso goalkeeper Sammy Prud'homme, who has been so brilliant this season. This was only the third time the Wolverines' defense allowed more than one goal.
Prud'homme finished with five saves.
