Aliso Viejo FBI Investigation Continues, City Thanks Residents
Last week, a package bomb killed an Aliso Viejo day spa owner & injured three others. While FBI investigators continue, the city presses on.

ALISO VIEJO, CA — It was one week ago that the city of Aliso Viejo came to a screeching halt. An explosion rocked the building and surrounding medical complexes near 11 Mareblu.
The FBI and Orange County Sheriff's Department have continued to process the scene for clues related to the package bomb murder of Ildiko Krajnyak. In just a week, FBI investigators have received well over 100 tips, OCSD department spokeswoman Carrie Braun told Patch. Those investigators have sent vital clues from the scene to Quantico for processing and all are awaiting what is next in the process.
"We are by no means merely focusing our investigation on one person," Braun told Patch. OCSD expects to make another announcement regarding the case sometime this week, she said.

Those investigative hours are long, and the residents of Aliso Viejo are anxious for answers and to get back to life as usual.
According to city spokeswoman Kelly Tokarski, Aliso Viejo has stopped to appreciate the investigators in their work. Businesses have stepped forward to provide aid to the sheriff's deputies and FBI investigators, providing them with food, drink and support.

Shortly after the explosion, deputies and firefighters assisted a nearby preschool with evacuating toddlers and babies to the Target shopping center on La Paz. Nearby businesses such as Chik-fil-A and Target have donated items to both the evacuated preschoolers last week as well as to crews working around the clock investigating around the clock.
The city of Aliso Viejo has assisted residents retrieving their vehicles that were left behind over 24-hours following the investigation, as well as updating residents as to road openings and business reopenings on the Mareblu medical plaza cul de sac.
"Without hesitation, our businesses and residents step up to help in good times and bad," Tokarski said. "We are grateful to them and appreciate the hard work of all the agencies involved."
