The BBB urges locals to use its Scam Tracker tool to research suspicious offers and share experiences as nationwide fraud losses continue to climb.
   

• Man Sentenced to 8 Years for Shooting in Mission Viejo (mynewsla.com) — An Aliso Viejo man has been sentenced to eight years in prison after pleading guilty to shooting a young woman in Mission Viejo in 2021. Deputies say the incident followed an earlier domestic violence call in San Clemente and a hit-and-run, before the victim was shot while following his truck.
