Armed Robbery Near Aliso Viejo Condo Complex

ALISO VIEJO, CA — An armed robbery near an Aliso Viejo apartment complex led to one arrest, Orange County Sheriff's Department said. A person was robbed at gunpoint, the suspect searched for and located a short while after, according to Orange County sheriff's Lt. Todd Russ said.

The robbery was reported at just after 10:30 p.m. Sunday in the area of Heather Ridge Road and Pacific Park Drive.

"We got a call about a verbal dispute that evolved into an armed robbery. There was no word as to motive, or if any personal losses occurred," Russ said.

The suspect was located during a perimeter search and a handgun was recovered, according to police.
