Do you know of a playground that needs restoration?
Consider asking the GoPlay Foundation for a grant toward projects.
"We are currently taking applications for 2018 projects," they said. Currently, the scope of work projects include: playground restoration and repair, resurfacing for basketball courts, field repair for soccer fields and park bench installations.
"Submissions are for southern California areas only for 2017," they said. "Other areas can submit their proposals for 2018."
