Local Voices: The Perfect Escape

Discover a spot with a beautiful view, right here in Aliso Viejo. Visit this place once and you're guaranteed to go back.

What if I told you there is a place, right here in Aliso Viejo, that you could go to and forget all your troubles?

A place where you could take that special someone and feel like you two are the only people who exist in the world. A place that wouldn't cost much, other than a couple of miles worth of gasoline. Well, if I've already caught your interest, then great. As luck would have it, there is such a place. It's the perfect combination of park and viewpoint, and it is located slightly east of the crossing of Aliso Viejo Parkway and Grand.

I still remember the first time my friend took me there. It was nighttime and I couldn't believe my eyes. All I saw in front of me was a countless number of glimmering lights. The lights of three different cities—Laguna Hills, Aliso Viejo and Laguna Niguel. Along with the stunning sight, there was also the beautiful sound of silence. This place took away any thoughts I had running through my mind. I finally understood what people mean when they use the word "Zen."

If you are at the crossing of Pacific Park Drive and Aliso Creek Road, then continue west on Pacific Park (up the hill and towards the ocean). Make a right on Aliso Viejo Parkway. Then make a right on Grand. Go down the hill, pass the circle and you're there!
