BrushFire Near Aliso Viejo Middle School: OCFA

ALISO VIEJO, CA — Did you see smoke near Aliso Viejo Middle School on Monday?

A small brush fire that broke out behind Aliso Viejo Middle School is out, according to the Orange County Fire Authority officials.

"The fire was reported at approximately 12:30 p.m.," OCFA Capt. Larry Kurtz said.

The blaze was near the intersection of Moulton and Alicia Parkway according to reports.

"The fire took up an area of 20 by 20," Kurtz said. Two units responded to the scene and quickly extinguished the brush fire.

Two engines showed to fight the fire, and crews were still on scene mopping up as of 1:45 p.m.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation, Kurtz said.
