Caller Reports Men Picking Car Locks Near CVS

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, June 16-19.

A caller asked deputies to check for two men, both wearing dark clothing, who appeared to be picking the door locks of parked cars near the CVS at the intersection of Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive.

The suspicious person report was made 11:42 p.m. Sunday.

Disturbance. 4:27 a.m. Tuesday. 24000 block Hollyoak.

Disturbance. 1:24 a.m. Tuesday. 0 block Bramble Lane.

Disturbance. 5:47 p.m. Monday. Dawn Lane and Oak View Drive. A resident said a group of parents who set up chairs in the middle of the cul-de-sac to let their children play were creating a traffic hazard.

Reckless driving. 4:40 p.m. Monday. 0 block Rincon Way. A caller asked deputies to check for teenage boys who were speeding and swerving around the block in a golf cart and a green go-kart.

Disturbance. 5:57 p.m. Sunday. 0 block Enterprise. A caller said a man wearing a dark shirt, blue shorts and was carrying dumbbells with him, threatened her life.

Assist outside agency. 12:15 a.m. Sunday. 22500 block Chase. A caller asked deputies to check for a man that had scratches on his chest who was washing his bloody clothing at a Mission Viejo Laundromat.

Shots heard-no suspect information. 10:46 p.m. Saturday. 0 block Beacon Way.  A caller said they heard 10 gunshots ring out before seeing a dark-colored SUV leaving the area quickly.

Defrauding an innkeeper. 1:23 a.m. Saturday. Aliso Creek Road and Liberty. A taxicab driver said a tall, husky man who works as a computer programmer and two of his friends went inside a bar promising to get change, but haven't been back for more than 20 minutes.

Open window. 5:31 p.m. Friday. 0 block Meadowbrook. A caller said no one answered the door after knocking on a neighbor's home that had its front window open with the screen detached.

Unknown trouble. 9:11 a.m. Friday. 23500 block El Reposa. Deputies arrested a 21-year-old man and took him into custody at Central Men's Jail with no bail set after someone made a report regarding a man with a possible stab wound on the back of their neck.
