Caller Reports Suspicious Van Near Preschool
Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, May 1-4.

A caller asked deputies to check for a blond man in his 40s who drives a blue, older-model van that he parks on Hummingbird Lane whenever children from a nearby preschool get dismissed. The caller added added that they never see the man pick any students up.
The suspicious person in vehicle report was made around 2:00 p.m. Thursday.

Welfare check. 3:03 p.m. Thursday. 0 block Azalea. A caller who heard a boy being slapped multiple times said his guardian who claimed to be his grandmother made it seem like it was nothing and denied her actions when the informant went to speak to her about the incident.
Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:24 a.m. Thursday. Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive. A caller said middle-aged man with long hair, who was wearing a plaid shirt kept on approaching cars and yelling at people for no reason near the Town Center.
Reckless driving. 10:24 p.m. Wednesday. 100 block Montara Drive. A resident said numerous vehicles were racing from a nearby gas station towards El Toro, citing that it was going on for at least two hours.
Found property. 9:47 a.m. Wednesday. Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive. A caller said they found what appeared to be an ankle monitor inside the business, adding that they did not see anyone removing the device.
Assist outside agency. 6:33 p.m. Tuesday. Alicia Parkway and SR-73. A caller told dispatch that a child wearing a checkered flannel shirt who had a white dog with him was standing in the center median under the Alicia Parkway overpass.
Disturbance. 2:37 p.m. Tuesday. 26700 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller asked deputies to check for Green Peace demonstrators whom they said were being rude to patrons shopping in Barnes & Noble.
