Police Respond to Teens in Tents

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, June 29-July 3.

A resident from the 0 block of Gauguin Circle asked deputies to check for a group of kids who were living in tents at a neighbor's yard, adding that the homeowners have been out of town. 

The caller made a second report around an hour later saying that the subjects are back in their neighbor's yard after being kicked out.

The initial suspicious circumstances report was made 8:56 p.m. Monday.

Disturbance. 3:33 a.m. Tuesday. 0 block Prairie Falcon.

Firework violation. 11:05 p.m. Monday. Peppertree and Sprucewood. A resident asked deputies to check for a group of kids who were setting off fireworks towards the canyon.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 2:48 p.m. Monday. Santa Ynez Drive and Casmalia Drive. A caller said two boys around the age of 10 were riding around the neighborhood in a golf cart.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 9:43 p.m. Sunday. 0 block Coffeeberry. A resident said a group of teenagers were throwing bottles out of a moving car.

Disturbance. 1:02 a.m. Sunday. 27600 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller asked deputies to check for a man who was possibly hitting parked cars with a chain and was yelling that he was going to kill someone.

Firework violation. 9:46 p.m. Saturday. 0 block Key Largo. A caller said people riding in an older-model tan Honda set off a large firework on their neighbor's lawn before driving away.

Disturbance. 12:45 a.m. Saturday. 0 block Trail Canyon Drive. A caller asked deputies to check for several kids who were being driven by their mother in a black Ford F-150 to go toilet-paper houses.

Suspicious person/circumstances. 9:45 p.m. Friday. Aliso Creek Road and Enterprise. A caller asked deputies to check for a silver Toyota sedan near Taco Bell after seeing the car's passengers deal drugs to three teenagers who walked up to the car.

Burglary report. 7:21 p.m. Friday. 23500 block Windsong. A resident said someone stole a laptop from his home while he was at work.
