Citizens Honored For Assisting Aliso Viejo's Youngest & Finest

ALISO VIEJO, CA — There is a reason that Aliso Viejo remains one of Orange County's finest cities. Remembering those who stepped in and selflessly sacrificed their time, money and talents during a civic disaster is just one of those reasons. Target's Jim Miller, Philip Meyers of Chick Fil A will be honored at Aliso Viejo's city council meeting June 6.

Jim Miller of Target Aliso Viejo will be acknowledged for the store's efforts in the wake of the May 15 explosion at a medical office building on Mareblu, the city said in recent release.

"The store accommodated the children, families and staff evacuated from the nearby preschool as well as law enforcement working around the clock by donating water, snacks and items," they said.

Target served as a safe place for parents and kids to reunite, and memorable photos of police and firefighters leading a "toddler train" down Mareblu and under the freeway has stayed in the memory of many residents.

The Council will also recognize Philip Myers of Chick-fil-A Aliso Viejo In-Line DT for donating food to our first responders. We appreciate their outstanding efforts.
