FDA-authorized COVID-19 testing is available to Orange County residents at various locations throughout the County. There is no out-of-pocket cost for this testing; however, your insurance may be billed.

OC COVID-19 Testing Network

Individuals exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19 can be tested through the OC COVID-19 Testing Network. Symptoms can include fever, cough, shortness of breath, chills, muscle pain, headache, sore throat and loss of taste or smell. Those request testing will receive a medical assessment to verify symptoms. Testing identifies current infection through collection of a swab sample, and does not test for antibodies. Due to challenges in obtaining testing supplies and Personal Protective Equipment, testing may be restricted to high priority groups. OptumServe Testing Sites

Asymptomatic individuals can be tested for COVID-19 at an OptumServe testing site. Testing identifies current infection through collection of a swab sample, and does not test for antibodies. At this time, prioritization is being given to healthcare workers, first responders, and social service employees. Medical assessments are not offered, so those with symptoms should contact their medical provider or access testing through the OC COVID-19 Testing Network.
