'Hope Springs' Ticket Giveaway Contest Winners

Check to see if you won tickets from Patch to see the new Meryl Streep and Tommy Lee Jones movie, "Hope Springs."

Let's see who will be getting some free "Spring" in their marital step.

In a sponsored contest, Patch asked to tell us why they and their spouse needed to see the new Sony Pictures flick Hope Springs for a chance to win a pair of free tickets.

Winners will be able to see the movie—starring Meryl Streep, Tommy Lee Jones and Steve Carell—at the Edwards Aliso Viejo Stadium 20. We had five $25 gift cards to the Regal Entertainment Group, but only four bothered to enter. Go figure! So here are the top four reasons submitted by our readers as to why they needed to see this movie:

  • Trisha: "My husband and I have not been to the movies alone in years (although we've gone to, what feels like, thousands of children's movies). He likes action and I like drama, but somehow, Hope Springs struck us both as a movie we'd like to see.... I can't let a rare moment like that pass us up! Pick Me :))"
  • Tim: "Life is busy and relationships seem to be put on the back burner.Kids, jobs, households seem to come first before relationships. Hope Springs is today's America.Put some spark back into relationships."
  • Denni: (in poetry form) "Even at my advanced age, When I read your contest page, Hope sprang hard in me, (Injuring my bad knee), That my silly entreaty, Would help me and my sweetie, Get two tickets to a show, Without spending any dough."
  • Lana: "Next month my hubby and I will be celebrating our 15th wedding anniversary! We were suppose to go to Hawaii for our second honeymoon (we were actually suppose to leave today! How funny!) but instead decided to sell our timeshare week to help pay for remodeling costs for the house we just bought. It was a tough decision, but seemed like the right one. Well, that was until the car broke down and cost us a small fortune to fix...all the Hawaii money plus another $800! So, the idea of a weekend getaway is now also out of the question! LOL! Thank goodness we still have LOVE! A free night out to the movies would be a welcome break. I think we can swing for a babysitter...that is if the refrigerator doesn't give out! LOL! Enjoy your summer!"

Congrats to our winners!
