Little League Yankees Take Home 2011 Championship Cup

Aliso Viejo's AA Yankees beat the AA Astros 8-4 during the Little League 2011 championship game Saturday.

Players shared some of their favorite moments from the game.

"It's great to be champions this year," said Noah "Suds" Sudyka. "One of my favorite moments in the game was when I hit the ball over to right field. I got to third base."

"I think it's awesome we are champions this year," Kevin Fitzer said. "My favorite moment was when I hit the ball to center field and scored a run in."

Lauren Selinsky, AVLL 2011 Closing Day Ceremonies Chairperson and also AA Championship Yankees Team Mom wanted to thank everyone for their help.

"They [the parents and volunteers] spent so much time with the kids since the beginning," she said. "Everyone did a great a job."
