Missing Laguna Woods Couple Found Unharmed

A Laguna Woods husband and wife who suffer from declining mental health and who disappeared last week were found safe today, authorities said.

Carl Tarantino, 83, and his wife Therese, whose age was not disclosed, have varying degrees of cognitive issues, and were last known to be at their home about 8 a.m. Friday, said Lt. Jeff Hallock of the Orange County Sheriff’s Department.

Their family was concerned, and authorities sought public help to find them.

This morning, the couple was found “safe and uninjured,” Hallock said. Other details were not released.
