New Aliso Viejo Kids Wrestling Club
South County Kids Wrestling. Grades 2-8. World Class Coaching. Affordable price. Located at Aliso Niguel High School wrestling room.
We are proud to announce the start of a new youth club in South Orange County. Located at Aliso Niguel High School (28000 Wolverine Way, Aliso Viejo), South County Kids club will be a year-round club with world-class coaching for kids in grades 2-8. The club will meet twice a week from 4:30 to 6 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
The club will be coached by Mehdi Kaveh, a world-class wrestler who has coached at Brown University for the past 9 years (prior to moving to Southern California last summer and joining the Aliso Niguel Staff. A few of his accomplishments:
*Iranian National Champion (64Kg. 1991-1996)
*2x Asian Champion (Gold Medalist)
*World Cup Champion
*World Cup winner of the Outstanding Wrestler Award
*Asst. Coach @ Brown University for 9 years

He will be instructing students on both folk-style and freestyle wrestling techniques with the help of several assistant coaches. There will be instruction available for all levels of wrestlers, from the basics for beginners to advanced techniques for those experienced in wrestling. The intent is to establish a competitive youth program that will compete at the highest levels.
The South County Kids program meets in the Aliso Niguel Wrestling room (located next to the pool off the main parking lot). If you are interested in checking out the program, meeting the coaches and discussing their philosophy, and seeing world class coaching and wrestling in action, we invite you to attend a practice. The club is already filling fast with high level youth wrestlers from around the county traveling to train under Coach Kaveh. If you attend, please wear loose athletic clothing (with no buttons or zippers) and wrestling shoes (or socks). Each session lasts approximately 70 minutes with a warm-up and cool-down period to start and end the practice.
