Open Forum With Capo District At Aliso Niguel High School
All were invited to an open forum for parents and community members at Aliso Niguel High School. The topic? Education & Campus Assessment.

ALISO VIEJO, CA — Capistrano Unified School District Superintendent Kirsten Vital led a community forum on various local education issues. Parents and community members met at Aliso Niguel High School for this open forum.

Aliso Niguel High school, which received a grade of "B" and Fair rating, according to the detailed campus assessment, will require immediate work to roofing as well as heating and cooling systemsover the next year, amounting to over $3,000,000 worth of work at the school, as well as an upgrade to on-campus communications.
Clark Hampton, Deputy Superintendent provided a presentation and update on the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) buildings that were approved by our Board of Trustees for Aliso Niguel High School and Newhart Middle School and Philippa Townsend, Assistant Superintendent of Fiscal Services will present an overview of Educational Funding in the State of California and the challenges we face with the Local Control Funding Formula that was implemented in Sacramento.
Finally, Susan Holliday, Associate Superintendent of Education Services presented a Spotlight on Teaching & Learning in CUSD.
