Open Gas Caps Prompts Resident To Call Police
Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, July 13-17.

A resident from the 200 block of Las Flores asked deputies to check for someone stealing gas since several cars on the street had their gas doors and caps hanging out in the open.
The suspicious circumstances report was made 9:53 p.m. Friday.

Vandalism report. 6:28 p.m. Monday. 0 block Satinbush.
Reckless driving. 2:01 p.m. Monday. 0 block Twinberry. A resident said a group of teenagers riding in a silver Honda Ridgeline were speeding up and down the street, playing loud music and hanging out of the roof.
Suspicious person/circumstances. 6:56 p.m. Sunday. 0 block Cardinal Avenue. A man said someone shot his wife's foot with a BB gun, which caused some swelling.
Suspicious person/circumstances. 1:42 p.m. Sunday. 25800 block Cedarbrook. A caller asked deputies to check for a man in his late-20s with long, black hair that was tied into a ponytail after they saw him grabbing himself and asking women walking the trail if they wanted to see his private parts.
Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:24 p.m. Saturday. 23500 block Windsong. A caller said a man in his mid-20s, wearing black clothing, was roaming the pool area with a flashlight that he was using to look into parked cars.
Disturbance. 11:55 a.m. Saturday. Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive. A caller said a man in his 40s who was wearing glasses and a tan jacket was screaming at passersby in front of PetSmart.
Unknown trouble. 7:05 p.m. Friday. 23400 block Knollwood. A caller said they heard a man at a nearby trail screaming for help then saw a pack of coyotes running away from the area.
Suspicious person/circumstances. 11:49 a.m. Friday. El Toro Road and Aliso Creek Road. A caller reported a rider wearing a white helmet was riding a white-colored dirt bike in the wilderness area.
