All businesses that are planning to reopen will need to implement industry-specific business guidance from the State. The Orange County Health Care Agency encourages business owners and operators review the State’s guidance and do the following:

  1. Find the guidance that is most relevant to their respective industry.
  2. Prepare a plan after reading.
  3. Put the plan into action.
  4. Once completed, post the industry-specific checklist in their workplace.

Residents, we encourage you to shop local to support our businesses, all of whom are an integral part of the fabric that makes up our community. Let’s do our part to help our local businesses quickly recover and stay afloat during this time! Please keep in mind that residents and visitors are required to wear a face covering when in a public place, visiting a business, and when at work where they are unable to maintain 6 feet of physical distance from another person, under the County Health Officer’s latest order. For more information, visit the Orange County Health Care Agency website.

The City of Aliso Viejo is working on allowing modifications to temporarily permit restaurants to use sections of parking lots or public rights-of-way to increase social distancing. There will be an expedited review process in place soon. We appreciate the support from our businesses and community thus far as we continue to navigate through this new normal!

If you have any questions regarding the business guidance, please call the Orange County Health Care Agency at 1-833-426-6411 or visit occovid19.ochealthinfo.com. City approval is not required for Stage 2 authorized businesses to reopen.
