Protect Yourself from Identity Theft

Residents and businesses are encouraged to attend free document shredding event.

Protect yourself from identity theft at the free document shredding event on May 21.

The event, which will be held at  from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m., invites residents and businesses to bring up to 10 standard file boxes, full of sensitive paperwork, to be shredded on site. 

 The material may contain staples, but no notebooks or binding may be shredded. Staff members will be on hand to answer questions about the growing concerns surrounding identity theft, according to a city press release.
