Soka University Hosts 10th Annual International Festival

See the world in Aliso Viejo.

Hundreds of guests, some local and others visiting from out of state, attended the 10th Annual International Festival at Soka University.

Booths were sprinkled throughout the campus with a wide variety of international flair. Guests could enjoy a variety of foods from around the globe, including Mexican, Japanese  and German cuisine. International culture was expressed through dance, art and clothing.

"This is my second time performing for the festival," said Yoko Tomita, a sophomore at Soka University. "It's really amazing how so many different groups of people get together."

This was Randy Stoner's third year to perform at the festival.

"It's not very common to see so many different kinds of people from different countries get together like this," he said.

For many, this was their first experience at Soka's International Festival.

"It's amazing that we've never made it before," said Vicki Boone. "We've always wanted to come every year and never had the time. This year we decided to come and it is mind blowing. The campus is just beautiful."
