Three Drivers Arrested on Suspicion of DUI at South County Checkpoint

Three motorists were arrested for drunken driving and 31 citations were issued during an overnight sobriety/driver’s license checkpoint in Mission Viejo, a sheriff’s lieutenant said.

The checkpoint, at an undisclosed location, began at 7 p.m. Friday and ended today at 12:30 a.m., said Orange County sheriff’s Lt. Jeff Hallock.

Four vehicles were towed at the checkpoint and 1,223 vehicles passed through, Hallock said.
