Vandal Flees Scene, Children in Tow

Selected calls from Aliso Viejo to the Orange County Sheriff's Department, Jan. 31-Feb. 3.

A caller near the intersection of Aliso Creek Road and Pacific Park Drive said a man broke a window and keyed their car, adding that the culprit was seen riding away with another man, a woman and children in a black Hyundai sedan with dealer plates.

The vandalism report was made 3:37 p.m. Wednesday.

Petty theft report. 11:55 a.m. Thursday. 26800 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller said a man in his late 30s, wearing a blue jumpsuit, switched a stone with another store product before leaving.

Traffic hazard. 7:07 p.m. Wednesday. Wood Canyon Drive and University Drive. A caller said a moving truck dropped its load of furniture onto a traffic lane, posing a hazard.

Stolen vehicle. 9:30 a.m. Wednesday. 0 block Sandalwood. A caller reporting a stolen silver Toyota Scion said they know who took it, citing that the person who did was drunk at the time.

Traffic hazard. 5:07 p.m. Tuesday. Pacific Park Drive and Aliso Viejo Parkway. A caller said a fire hydrant was spewing water sideways onto the street.

Assault. 1:01 p.m. Tuesday. 27800 block Aliso Creek Road. A caller told deputies that they were with a man who appeared to have been severely beaten, but do not know of the suspect's whereabouts.
