Wolverines Come Up Short in Overtime
The Aliso Niguel High School Men's Lacrosse team loses 9-8 to the Woodbridge Warriors.

Aliso Niguel Varsity Men’s Lacrosse team could not overcome a sloppy first half as the Wolverines lost to the Woodbridge Warriors 9-8 at Wolverine Stadium Wednesday night.
The Wolverines (1-1) started off slow with a penalty in the first 30 seconds of the game. Woodbridge midfielder Benjamin Robinson took advantage of the situation scoring right away to give the Warriors an early lead. Aliso struggled with picking up ground balls the entire first half and Woodbridge went into halftime with a 5-4 lead.
The Wolverines picked it up in the second half and controlled the ball most of the third quarter. Attackmen Nolan Werner and Michael Traub combined for three goals in a 4-minute span in the quarter.
