5th Annual Brandon Jackson Scholarship - Basketball Shootout

The 5th Annual Brandon Jackson Basketball Shootout takes place Saturday, May 30 at John Muir High School. This annual event provides college scholarships for local high school seniors. Over $30,000 in scholarships have been awarded in the first four years. This scholarship honors the memory of Brandon, a John Muir High School senior, who was killed in a random shooting in Altadena in 2011. It’s purpose is to provide an alternative (through education) to this type of violence in our community.

Local teams will be playing all day (8am to 8pm), and admission for the day is only $5 (children under 6 are free). The 2015 scholarships will be awarded at 7pm.
