9/11 Remembrance Parade and Grand Opening of Republican Club Office

Thursday, Sept. 11, 2014, at 9 a.m. we [Republican Club of the Foothills (RCF) will be holding our Office grand opening.

We are combining our Office GRAND OPENING with the La Crescenta Chamber of Commerce’s 9-11 REMEMBRANCE PARADE.

Our goal is to have at least 100 concerned Americans standing on the sidewalk in front of the Republican Club of the Foothills Office -- 2910 Foothill Blvd., La Crescenta -- waving U.S. flags as the Remembrance Parade passes by the office between 9:15 a.m.and 9:30 AM.

We will have Flags for you to wave along with hot coffee and some sweets to enjoy.

The office is located between La Crescenta Boulevard and the Office Depot, 3030 Foothill Blvd.

The “Remembrance Parade” will consist of 32 Classic Automobiles, law enforcement vehicles (CHP – L.A. Sheriff – Glendale Police) and fire department vehicles.

The “Remembrance Parade” is scheduled to begin at 9:11 a.m. from the Ralph’s parking lot, 2675 Foothill Blvd. in La Crescenta.

It will serpentine through the community of La Crescenta. passing by all of the schools, fire stations, law enforcement stations and the American Legion VFW hall, 2937 Honolulu Ave.

Some of the schools are planning to have all the students come out of the classrooms to the school’s sidewalk area to observe and show respect.

Following the Parade we will have a short program about our office, and you should be on your way no later than 10 a.m.

Parking will be a small challenge.

Parking will be limited on Foothill Boulevard but one will be able to park in the residential areas on adjacent side streets.

It is permissible to park at the La Crescenta Library, 2809 Foothill Blvd. until 10 a.m.

One should not have to walk more than a short block from wherever one parks to get to the office.
