Altadena Crime Blotter: Car Burglaries, Smashed Windows

ALTADENA, CA — The Altadena Sheriff's Station has released the latest crime blotter for the week.
Incidents featured in the blotter occurred from Nov. 30 to Dec. 4

Tuesday, Nov. 30

Between 10:00 p.m. and 4:00 a.m. (Wednesday) – A grand theft from a car occurred in the 1600 block of North Roosevelt Avenue. The catalytic converter of a 2007 Toyota Prius was stolen.

3:20 p.m. – A battery occurred in the 3000 block of Thurin Avenue. A suspect was taken into custody.

4:40 p.m. – A car vandalism occurred in the area of Casitas Avenue and Mountain View Street. A window was shattered and a suspect was identified.

Wednesday, Dec. 1

11:00 a.m. – A car was reported stolen from the 900 block of Weimar Street. The car was later recovered by California Highway Patrol.

9:36 p.m. – An assault with a deadly weapon occurred in the 200 block of East Altadena Drive. A suspect has been identified.

Thursday, Dec. 2

Between 8:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. – A car vandalism occurred in the area of Boston Street and Lake Avenue. The driver-side mirror was damaged.

10:30 a.m. – A commercial vandalism occurred in the 2900 block of El Nido Drive. A suspect was taken into custody.

Between 12:40 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. – A residential burglary occurred in the 1600 block of Braeburn Road. An iPad and money were reported stolen.

Between 3:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. – A package theft occurred in the 700 block of Pine Street. A package containing a silver ring, running shoes and clothing was stolen.

Between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. – A car burglary occurred in the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The car’s window was shattered and a bag, wallet, credit cards and personal electronics were stolen.

Between 2:15 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. – A car burglary occurred in the 2100 block of Lincoln Avenue. The car’s window was shattered and a briefcase, MacBook Pro, headphones, thumb drive, guitar and recording equipment were stolen.

9:20 p.m. – A residential vandalism occurred in the 400 block of Figueroa Street.

11:40 p.m. - A car vandalism occurred in the area of Altadena Drive and Marengo Avenue.

Friday, Dec. 3

Between 12:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m. (Saturday) – A commercial burglary occurred in the 2700 block of N. Glenrose Avenue. No items were reported stolen.

Saturday, Dec. 4

Between 11:00 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. – A car burglary occurred in the 4000 block of Chaney Trail. The car’s driver-side door was tampered with and the owner reported that cash was stolen.

Between 1:00 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. – A car vandalism occurred in the 4000 block of Chaney Trail.
