The Altadena Library District brings people and ideas together for an Altadena that is learning, growing, and thriving together. During these challenging times, we are still providing curbside check-out, a robust online collection, support services, and more. We are proud to serve over 50,000 residents throughout Altadena.

As a key community resource, planning for our future is a top priority, and community input is a key part of that. Both our Strategic Plan and our Facilities Assessment were completed over the past few years with both expert and stakeholder input. The fact is, we have both program and facilities needs.
It is important to keep our libraries safe and clean, maintain library hours, continue essential programs, and provide up-to-date print and online materials. We also need facilities that support quality library services and equitable access. Both the Main Library and the Bob Lucas Memorial Branch were built over 60 years ago, and are in desperate need of repairs and improvements.

To meet our needs and continue providing quality services, the Altadena Library District has been exploring the option of a future ballot measure. Please, join the conversation as we continue our planning. Please click here to take our online survey. You are also invited to virtually attend a public hearing on this topic at our regularly scheduled July 27 board meeting at 5pm.
Please contact District Director Nikki Winslow at (626)798-0833 ext. 103 or nwinslow@altadenalibrary.org with any questions.
Thank you. YOUR opinions matter. We look forward to hearing from you.
