Altadena Sheriff's Department Phones on The Fritz

ALTADENA, CA — Some non-emergency telephone lines were malfunctioning Wednesday at the sheriff's Altadena Station.

The intermittent problems were affecting the main number -- (626) 798- 1131 -- as well as some other lines, according to the sheriff's department.

However, 911 was not affected, the sheriff's department reported this afternoon.

"Please continue to use (626) 798-1131 if you need our services, (as) we are receiving some phone calls," a sheriff's statement said. "If the phone does not ring, please use 911 for emergency calls."
