“PEACE in the Park” purpose is to bring both communities safely to collectively engage in discussion on how Charles White Peace Park can be reactivated into a safe place for everyone. The event will provide the opportunity for community engagement in addressing the need for safer routes to the park, transit and help identify a safe street network to improve the quality of life in the community. The event will showcase solutions such as a temporary bike lane and safer intersection crossings, freeing up the space around the park for the community to enjoy, and more in an effort to begin the process of revisioning the future of the park.

Everyone is encouraged to bring their walking shoes, yoga mats, bicycle, scooter, skates as families and friends come together for a day of celebration in harmony and to add to the collective conversation of reactivating the park into a safe haven and safer streets for the community.
