Altadena Town Council: California National Forests Are Temporaily Closed During August 31 Until September 17
All firefighter jobs start at $15 an hour.

USDA/USFS: “We made the difficult decision to temporarily close all National Forests in CA in order to better provide public & firefighter safety due to extreme fire conditions. This means the Angeles National Forest is closed to all recreational use. For details visit http://fs.usda.gov/angeles and head to http://pw.lacounty.gov/roadclosures for Los Angeles County Public Works for local road closures.

The majority of the Altadena Crest Trail will remain open, but it will be closed east of Tanoble to help reduce use/access to the forest via Mt. Wilson Toll Road.
Chaney Trail & Los Pinetos Trail will be closed.
Eaton Canyon Natural Area will remain open, but trail access will be closed at the following locations: Pinecrest Gate / Mt. Wilson Toll Road, Midwick Ave. Access Point, Waterfall Trail at Walnut Canyon, Equestrian Trail at Walnut Canyon
