DR. ROSS SELVIDGE ANNOUNCES CAMPAIGN FOR PASADENA COMMUNITY COLLEGE BOARD
Election to be Held November 5, 2013
Pasadena, California, May 8, 2013 - Dr. Ross Selvidge announced today that he will be seeking election to the Pasadena Area Community College Board of Trustees for Area 1. Area 1 includes the City of La Canada Flintridge, West Pasadena and the Western portion of Altadena.
Dr. Selvidge stated “I am running to maintain fiscal discipline and keep PCC great. I am the most experienced and qualified candidate to represent our neighborhoods.”
Dr. Selvidge has more than 35 years experience in real estate finance and economics, fiscal and economic analysis, asset management, public/private partnerships/joint ventures and infrastructure financing. He has assisted a wide range of private sector clients and government agencies on projects involving commercial, industrial, residential, and mixed-use properties.
Dr. Selvidge has more than 15 years of experience as a part-time faculty member at the University of Southern California. He taught undergraduate and graduate courses in real estate finance and investment analysis. He is an expert on public finance and fiscal policy and he has lectured on those topics at UCLA and Pepperdine University.
Dr. Selvidge is a decorated combat veteran and is retired from the U.S. Naval Reserve, Civil Engineer Corps (SEABEES), with the rank of Commander.
Dr. Selvidge has an extensive record of public and government service in the City of Pasadena including:
Chairman, City Charter Reform Task Force
Planning Commissioner
Recreation and Parks Commissioner
Member, Board of Directors of Rose Bowl Stadium Operating Company
Member, City Hall Renovation Financing Task Force
Chairman of Library Funding Task Force
Dr. Selvidge attended the Pasadena Unified School District, graduating from the PUSD’s John Muir High School. He attended Pasadena City College and the University of Southern California where he obtained degrees in Architecture, Systems Management and a Ph.D. in Finance.
