MONTECEDRO® COOKING ITS WAY TO ALZHEIMER’S PREVENTION WITH DR. MARWAN SABBAGH

Did you know that Alzheimer’s is the sixth leading cause of death in America? According to the Alzheimer’s Association, death from Alzheimer’s disease has risen 68 percent since the year 2000.

While there is still no cure for Alzheimer’s disease, scientific studies have proven that specific foods can lower the risk of cognitive decline. On May 23, 2013, MonteCedro®, a new planned Episcopal Community and Services (ECS) Continuing Care Retirement Community in Altadena, will host Dr. Marwan Sabbagh, Research Professor of Neurology at the University of Arizona College of Medicine and co-author of The Alzheimer’s Prevention Cookbook: Recipes to Boost Brain Health.

During the event, attendees will be educated on specific types of foods such as, cinnamon, fish and pomegranates, that can boost brain activity and help reduce the risk of Alzheimer’s and dementia. Dr. Sabbagh will also introduce tasty recipes from his book that are both healthy and preventative.

Space is limited for this event. To register, please visit www.montecedro.com/info or call 877-305-6013.
