Biker Shooting Closes Portions of the 210 Freeway

LOS ANGELES, CA -- A motorist was shot and wounded on the Foothill (210) Freeway in Sylmar this morning in an attack carried out by gunmen on two motorcycles, police said.

The shooting took place sometime between 4:15 a.m. and 5:15 a.m. on the Roxford Street on-ramp, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. The motorist suffered an arm wound and was taken to a hospital in stable condition.

The No. 3 lane of the westbound freeway was shut down at Roxford Street until about 6:15 a.m., said California Highway Patrol Officer Monica Posada.

No arrests were reported, and the motive for the attack was not immediately determined.
