Documentary Film & Farm-Fresh Dinner: "Ground Operations: Battlefields to Farmfields"

Enjoy a dinner-and-a-movie! Guests will enjoy a locally-sourced, organic dinner prepared by Little Flower Cafe, along with tastings of craft beer, organic & biodynamic wines by Everson Royce. Ground Operations: Battlefields to Farmfields is a documentary film that champions a growing network of combat veterans who are transitioning to civilian life with new careers in sustainable agriculture. Army veteran Edgar Hercilla will be presenting his plans for a new farm venture at the Growing Experience in Long Beach and sharing his story of transitioning from the military into food and farming. Edgar's new venture will include greenhouse aquaponics with tilapia fish, herbs & strawberries. A conversation with the filmmakers, Dulanie Ellis and Raymond Singer will conclude the evening. This event will benefit Edgar's new farm venture and the national campaign for Ground Operations.      
Tickets should be purchased by Monday evening if possible, for the caterer.
