The Chancel Choir of La Canada Congregational Church will present a program featuring music by Johannes Brahms on Sunday, May 20, at 4 PM. The concert, given in honor of Brahms 179th birthday, will be in the church sanctuary. The church is located at 1200 Foothill Boulevard, La Canada.
The concert is free, and a free traditional German dinner, including bratwurst, sauerkraut, German potato salad, green salad and desserts, will be served in Fellowship Hall immediately following the program. A freewill offering during the concert will benefit the music programs at the church.
The choir is under the direction of Dr. Harold Daugherty. Pianists will be Joseph Klice and Cynthia Bauhof-Williams.

The Brahms program will include Song of Fate, Op 54 (Schicksalslied), and Lovesong Waltzes, Op 52 (Liebeslieder Walzer.)
Soloist will be Soprano April Amante, Mezzo-soprano Christina Thomas, Tenor Matthew Thomas, and Baritone David Sannerud.
