Traditionally, the fashion and beauty trends change every decade. And every quarter the seasonal trends arrive. It’s so exciting to anticipate which colors will be revealed as “thee color of the season” and “the color of the year”. But it’s pretty much like waiting for someone to tell you what to buy and how it should be worn! I like to look into seasonal colors and trends as more of an optional guideline to spice up my every day routine.
This fall, I fell in love with monochromatic neutrals and what I like to call “warmer than Neutral”. Which in my own definition means that the base color of the lipstick can be neutral to your natural lip color, but a little bit warmer and bolder but still subtle ie: brown reds, orange neutrals and burnt corals. This idea is so much fun because I think it’s about time to draw attention to our lips with color that defines what we love about our lip shape and ourselves.
Be bold! It’s not always about who is currently trending on what. Or whose lips are fuller. Lips comes in all shapes and sizes, thankfully because don’t you think it would be boring if everyone had the same shape? But hey, we have the power to change what we don’t like, or enhance what we love. And I am a sucker for all available options.

I am challenging you to fall in love with your lips this season. Eliminate the comparison of how perfect you think the next set lips are over there, and think about how you would like to define yours! Choose a color that makes you feel comfortable and confident. Buy a color that will make you want to conquer your day, maybe a couple of colors and a “wild card” just to change it up!
