Have You Seen This Missing Altadena Teen?

ALTADENA, CA — A 16-year-old Altadena boy who is diabetic and insulin-dependent is missing Tuesday, authorities said.

Xander Munoz was last seen at Hathaway Sycamores Group Home in the 2900 block of El Nido Drive around 8:30 p.m. Monday, according to Deputy Tracy Koerner of the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department.

Munoz is Hispanic, 5 feet 3 and 135 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, said Koerner.

He was last seen wearing a black zip-up hoodie and light colored shorts, Koerner said.

Munoz is diabetic and insulin-dependent and his family and caregivers are very concerned and asked for the public's help in locating him, he said.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to call the sheriff's Missing Persons Unit at (323) 890-5500.
