Hiker Covered in Poison Oak Airlifted from Inspiration Point
A 51-year-old woman suffering from poison oak had to be airlifted from the Angeles National Forest and hospitalized.

ALTADENA, CA - A 51-year-old woman needed a helicopter rescue when she encountered poison oak while hiking in the Inspiration Point area of the Angeles National Forest, authorities said today.
The woman was heard crying for help at about 8:20 p.m. Sunday in the Inspiration Point area north of Eaton Canyon Falls, said Sgt. P. Coussa of the Crescenta Valley Sheriff's Station.
"She was covered in poison oak," he said.

Rescuers found the woman and a Los Angeles County Fire Department helicopter took her to a ground ambulance at 11:15 p.m., said Dispatch Supervisor Michael Pittman.
The hiker was taken to Huntington Memorial Hospital, Coussa said.
