The Hollywood Museum
This is the last week to see the Marilyn Exhibit at The Hollywood Museum.

Max factor has been an iconic name since the 1920’s when the legend himself began retailing makeup to the general public during Hollywoods “Golden Age”. In 1928 “Lip Pomade” was introduced, now known as lip gloss. This product would give Hollywood starlets that glossy pouty lip on film. Pan Cake makeup was developed five years later in 1935 for on screen actors and later was available to the general public for personal use.
Although the creator of the brand passed away in 1938, and Max Factor is now apart of the Proctor & Gamble family, dedicated developers continue to invent and reinvent cosmetic products as industry leaders. Max factor has had several legendary brand ambassadors with Marilyn Monroe being the most memorable. Her’s and Lucille Ball’s Vanity set up can be seen at The Hollywood Museum’s Max Factor exhibit until September 6th 2015.
The Golden Age of Hollywood will forever be an inspiration to the beauty industry, and the reference point to all classic beauty looks still used and recreated to this day. I hope that all beauty enthusiasts get the chance to visit the exhibits before closing day.
