Holy Week at Altadena Community Church

March 24 - Maundy Thursday The evening begins with a simple soup and salad supper. Please bring either a pot of soup or a salad to share. The meal begins at 6:30 PM. We will begin the worship experience at 7:30 PM. During the worship, we will provide the washing of feet. If you wish to participate please bring your own towel! It would be wise to wear sandals or shoes and socks that are easily removable.

March 25 - Good Friday. At 7:30 PM we gather in the Sanctuary for a Tenebrae service. This service includes the reading of the Passion Story, sacred music, and periods of silence. The room will become progressively darker until we sit in complete darkness and contemplate the question “Were You There When They Crucified My Lord?”

March 27 - Easter. During the 10 AM service, we will begin with the “Flowering of the Cross.” Bring flowers you might have at home. After the service, we will enjoy brunch “Under the Arches;” please bring a dish to share.
